Founded in July, 1982, the SPCUG is one of the largest PC user groups on the United States west coast. ![]() Several SPCUG members took advantage of an offer by New Horizons on their popular Online Anytime packages. We would like to thank New Horizons for the educational rewards these members are now enjoying. We recommend that anyone who has a need for excellent courses of study in a wide range of computer technologies to give New Horizons a call. As a benefit for SPCUG members, O'Reilly Publishing offers 20% discounts on orders placed through their Web site. Contact the WebMaster for the discount code to use during checkout. One of the functions of the SPCUG is to publish reviews of recently released books. We do that through our Hard Copy column. Sacra Blue's Book Review Editor regularly requests books from O'Reilly and other publishers for review. SPCUG members are eligible to review books that may interest them. After making a small deposit, the member is given a month to write an acceptable article, after which the deposit is returned. So, if you have an interest, visit O'Reilly's Web site and make note of the Title, Author and ISBN number of any books you would to review and add to your library. Send that information to the Editor. |
